Windows Phone 8
Windows Phone includes a wide assortment of ringtones to choose from, but you might prefer the sound of your favorite music, the direction of your four-legged friend, the sound of a power tool, in short anything. If your phone can play a sound file, is not protected by DRM (digital rights management) and smaller than 30 MB, then you can use it as a phone ringtone.
You can also go to Windows Phone Store on your phone or on Windows Phone Store on the web from your PC and download apps for ringtones. You can even use audio files that were sent to you by SMS. If your PC have a sound file that you want to use, there are a few ways to add it as a ringtone, depending on the specific type of computer you use. To find an app for Windows Phone that can work on your computer, see Sync Windows Phone.
However, it is not necessary for an application to add ringtones to your phone. Here are some methods you can use.
PC running Windows:
Connect your phone to your computer, go to Computer (My Computer) and select Devices.Double-click on your phone, Handset folder and then on the Ringtones folder. Found an audio file on your computer that you like, copy it to the Ringtones folder.
To set it just pick up the phone and go to the menu Settings> Tones and Ringtones> Ringtone.Your new ringtone will be displayed in the Customize list of available ringtones.
By MMS:
Hold down the ringtone file, then tap Save as a ringtone. You can change the name of the ringtone and tap OK.
